本動画は、東京のボルボスタジオ青山で行われたトークショー「ゲンロンカフェatボルボスタジオ青山」の模様を収録したものです。 【収録時のタイトル】 古田徹也×伊藤亜紗×山本貴光【ゲンロンカフェ at VOLVO STUDIO AOYAMA #25】 「しっくりくる言葉、どもる体――『言葉の魂の哲学』サントリー学芸賞受賞記念」 【収録日】 2020/3/27 【収録時のイベント概要】 「ゲンロンカフェ @ VOLVO STUDIO AOYAMA」シリーズ第25回は、東京大学准教授の古田徹也さん、東京工業大学准教授の伊藤亜紗さん、文筆家の山本貴光さんをお招きしての鼎談イベントを開催いたします。 古田さんは『言葉の魂の哲学』で第41回「サントリー学芸賞（思想・歴史部門）」を受賞。同書をめぐっては、昨年8月に山本さんを聞き手にゲンロンカフェでイベントを開催しました。ウィトゲンシュタインやカール・クラウスの言語論の考察にはじまり、言葉を選び取ることの責任がわれわれの社会の倫理の問題にどのように関わってくるのか、刺激的な議論が展開されました。 先日、第13回「（池田晶子記念）わたくし、つまりNobody賞」を受賞されたことでも話題の伊藤さんは、今回のイベントで古田さんとは初対談となるそうです。伊藤さんは、同書の刊行時に讀賣新聞紙上に書評を寄せられました。また古田さんは、伊藤さんの著書、特に『どもる体』について、ご自身の研究と関連して強い興味を持たれているそうです。 言葉の魂、言葉と体……言葉をめぐる白熱の議論は必見です！ 【登壇者からのメッセージ】 古田徹也さん 『どもる体』（医学書院）で伊藤亜紗さんが展開された吃音の分析は、拙著『言葉の魂の哲学』（講談社）の議論と、非常に面白い結びつきをもっているように思います。 たとえば、拙著で関心を向けた〈言葉が喉もとまで出ているが、それを思い出せない〉という現象と、吃音の〈言葉自体は思い浮かんでいるが、それをうまく口に出せない〉という現象は、明らかに違います。けれども、その後にしばしば為される〈別の言葉に言い換えることで口に出す〉という対処の仕方については、共通しているようにみえます。ほかにも、実にさまざまな論点の交錯が、『どもる体』と『言葉の魂の哲学』の間には見て取れます。 今回の鼎談では、山本貴光さんという願ってもない方に手綱を引いていただきながら、『どもる体』をはじめとする伊藤さんの興味深い諸研究と、拙著で示したいくつかのアイディアを引き比べていければと思っています。そのなかで、物の見方の転換と言葉のかかわり、あるいは、パターン的な言語使用と言語の創造性の関係など、言葉をめぐるさまざまな論点について、新しい手掛かりが得られるのではないかと期待しています。 伊藤亜紗さん 「あたりまえ」や「コントロールできること」はふとしたことで崩壊する可能性を秘めています。でも崩壊の向こうには創造の可能性もある。古田さんの動的な世界観は、私が専門とする障害や体の問題にも、大きな示唆をもたらしてくれました。当日は、山本さんとともに、古田さんが言葉について語ったことを、吃音や認知症の具体的なエピソードと結びつけながら、さらに深めてみたいなと思っています。 ちなみに、『言葉の魂の哲学』が出版されたとき、僭越ながら書評を書かせていただきました。 https://www.yomiuri.co.jp/culture/book/review/20180528-OYT8T50067/ 新聞紙上でのゲシュタルト崩壊実演は、いまでも語り草になっています（笑）。 山本貴光さん インターネットの普及が始まっておよそ四半世紀が経ち、スマートフォンや各種のコンピュータを介した個人同士のやりとりもすっかり当たり前の風景となりました。 例えば、TwitterやLINEなど、文字と画像をベースにした仕組みをはじめ、SkypeやZoomのように音声や映像を使ったサーヴィスもあり、私たちは以前にも増して、多様な手段で互いにやりとりできる技術環境にあります。 また、オンラインゲームやVR空間で、アヴァター（化身）を介した、普段とは異なる身体感覚での行動に慣れ親しんでいる人も少なくないでしょう。 他方、目下進行中の新型コロナウィルスの感染と対処がせめぎ合うなかで、私たちは互いの物理的な接触や距離について否応なく意識させられる状況にも置かれています。 いま、私たちの身体や言語や感覚はどのような状態にあるのでしょうか。 今回、伊藤亜紗さんと古田徹也さんという、この課題を検討するうえで願ってもないお二人に話を伺える機会をとても楽しみにしています。 私からは、議論の出発点として、自分にコントロールできること／コントロールできないこと（権内／権外）という見方を提示したいと思います。 身体も言葉も、自分のもののようでありながら、意のままにできることとできないことが入り交じったなにものかです。また、それらをコントロールできるか否かの境界は、心身の状態、ともにいる人、利用する技術などの環境によってもさまざまに変化します。 身近な例でいえば、SNSへのテキストの投稿は、身体やその状態を抜きにして、書かれた言葉だけを送り出す営みです。投稿する文面は、書き手がコントロールしているとしても（ここにも考えるべきことがいろいろありそうですが）、誰に届き、どのように受け止められるかはコントロールできず、炎上も共感も予測できない出来事です。 いま、私たちは各種のデジタル装置や人工知能、あるいはバイオテクノロジーによって、あるいは政治や経済の状況によって、互いの「環世界」（ユクスキュル／ドミニク・チェン）――つまり身体や精神や経験や記憶のあり方に応じて人それぞれに固有のものとして生じる世界の見え方――が目まぐるしく変化する世界に生きています。 多様な身体のあり方とその経験を探究している伊藤さん、言語で私たちがなしうることを多元的に捉える古田さんとの議論を通じて「しっくりくる言葉、どもる体」あるいは「どもる言葉、しっくりくる体」について、みなさんとともに考えてみたいと思います。どうぞお楽しみに。 ※…
